Current Ministries in Spain

  • OMS believes that the key to reaching Spain with the Gospel of Jesus Christ is through the establishment of strong local churches. All ministries are geared toward strengthening churcheshelping them to become self-governing and self-supporting. Local churches seek to impact their communities through social outreach, special evangelistic programs and growing youth ministries. OMS has established two churches in Madrid and two along the southern coast of Spain.
  • One major ministry thrust of OMS Spain is to establish new churches. For example, OMS is currently partnering with the Evangelical Christian Church of Madrid on a church planting project in the northeastern part of the capital city. OMS is also partnering with another church planting team which is reaching the towns and villages in the northwestern part of the city.  Finally, OMS is also colaborating with the ECC ministry Peace and Hope, which is starting house churches in various Spanish provinces.
  • Rock of Horeb Camp, located in a beautiful mountain setting about 60 miles east of Madrid, provides camp and training opportunities for evangelism and discipling new believers. The camp also supports the entire Spanish evangelical community by hosting children’s, youth and family camps and retreats for several thousand people each year.
  • OMS collaborates with The United Evangelical Theological Seminary, an interdenominational training center, whose goal is the academic, practical and spiritual preparation of Spanish church leaders.
  • OMS cooperates with Evangelical Christian Academy (ECA), an interdenominational school for missionary children in Madrid. The school assists missionaries from many organizations by providing their children with a quality education in English.
  • The Marriage Encounter program, operated in partnership with other mission organizations and churches, serves to strengthen marriages but also challenges couples to accept Christ, making Him the center of their relationship.
  • OMS assists with the ECC immigrant ministry, which is starting house churches in various Spanish provinces. We praise God for what he's done through our ECC teams in 2007:
  • Teams: 3
  • Team members: 16
  • Decisions for Christ: 54
