Due to security concerns, detailed information about the ministries and missionaries in this area are not available on our web site.

History of OMS in South Pacific

OMS entered this region in 1971 with evangelistic outreaches to university students and the establishment of a school for missionary children. The need for theological training soon led to the opening of a seminary that, in turn, developed leaders who have formed church planting teams and started many churches.

Current Ministries

Today OMS ministers throughout the region to train, encourage and shepherd indigenous workers who labor faithfully, often in difficult circumstances. Numerous opportunities exist to partner with these brothers and sisters as teachers, professors and shepherds. Short-term immersion experiences are also available for those who want to learn a different culture and language, and then apply this knowledge in local ministry.

Through the OMS evangelism and church planting ministry, Every Community for Christ (ECC), we praise God for what he's done in 2006:

  • Teams: 15
  • Team members: 124
  • Decisions for Christ: 327
  • People in discipleship or lay-leadership training: 47
  • Churches established: 7
