Teacher

Robin Efing went to Mexico with OMS International straight out of college to teach missionary kids for one year. Now, 13 years later, she is an integral part of the Mexico team. When she began her time with OMS, she spoke a limited amount of Spanish, but now, she excels in her language aptitude and ministers effectively in her second language.

Robin accepted the Lord as a young girl and was actively involved in her home church. She studied elementary education at Houghton College in her home state of New York. It was at Houghton that the Lord began leading her to investigate the possibility of teaching outside the United States.

For these 13 years, Robin has been teaching missionary children at Mexico City Christian Academy. In addition, Robin is involved in music ministry at the Campanario church, where she sings with the praise team and helps direct the children’s choir. Robin is also assistant treasurer on the field and assistant field hostess. Upon her return to Mexico, Robin will begin teaching at SEMBIMEX, the Biblical Seminary of Mexico, in the Christian Education department.
