Lon Osborn
Audio/Visual Manager
OMS International accepted Lon Osborn as a missionary in 2005 to serve on the Every Community for Christ (ECC) International team. Over the course of three years of serving with ECC, Lon traveled to more than 15 countries, visiting churches, ECC church planting teams and several OMS missionaries.
In June 2008, Lon joined the Communications Department of OMS to lend assistance in video production, graphic design and photography. Lon hopes to use his knowledge of OMS fields around the world to help share the vision of what God is doing with churches and individuals throughout the United States.
Lon graduated from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon, in 2000 with a degree in applied science. In 2001, he earned a degree in mechanical engineering from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. In March 2002, after spending ten months unemployed following his graduation, Lon accepted a job out of desperation working at a Christian camp in Colorado. It was during this time that God began to show him that his skills and gifts could be used in ministry as well as the secular working world. After finishing his time working at the camp, Lon accepted a job working as a design engineer in Portland, Oregon. Two years later Lon heard and obeyed the call from God to leave his engineering position and enter into full time missions work with OMS.
Lon continues to follow God’s leading and hopes to one day serve full time on a foreign field. For now, he is content to combine his passion for traveling and photography along with a willingness to serve others to further the cause of Christ.
