Karen Neff

Teacher

Karen Neff is a missionary in Taiwan with OMS International, serving as a teacher at Morrison Christian Academy since 1983. Morrison is an American school that educates children from the missionary community, as well as from the local and expatriate business communities. Karen’s primary responsibility is teaching third grade. Her other ministry opportunities have included mentoring younger teachers, involvement with extracurricular school activities and helping at educational conferences for families living in restricted areas of Asia.

Karen grew up in Indiana and graduated from Taylor University in 1976 with a degree in elementary education. While teaching in Detroit, she obtained her master’s degree in education from Oakland University. She also worked with the youth and as a secretary in her local church.

Karen sees her ministry in Taiwan as three-fold: sharing the Gospel with students who don’t yet know Jesus, encouraging young believers to grow in their spiritual walk, and helping train potential missionaries for the next generation. Her greatest joy comes from seeing her students accept Jesus as their personal Savior and knowing that they’re living for Him.
