Director of Human Resources

OMS International accepted Joan in 2005 for assignment to the World Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana. Her position as Director of Human Resources involves the coordination of interviews, the maintenance of all personnel records, the tracking of all OMS personnel, and updating of electronic records.

Joan graduated in 1973 from Ball State University with a degree in Elementary Education. In 1976 she graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Elementary Education and Reading (K-12). In 1984 she earned her doctoral degree in Special Education, Reading Education, and English as a Foreign Language from Ball State University.

Joan has taught in Morrison Christian Schools in Taiwan, public schools in the US, Seoul Theological Seminary in South Korea, colleges and universities in the USA. These schools include Bethany Christian School in Taiwan and four church-related colleges/universities. She was formerly Professor of Education at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana and an active member of Upland United Methodist church in Upland, Indiana.
