Guido and Kim Orellana

Camp Pallatanga

As missionaries working with OMS International, Guido and Kimberly Orellana, together with their daughters, Isabel and new baby Elena, have been asked to return to Ecuador to work with Camp Pallatanga. They will serve the Ecuadorian Church through camp ministry as they continue coordinating the remodeling of the camp and through discipleship, leadership training and evangelism.

Guido graduated from SEMBEC, the Evangelical Bible Seminary of Cuenca, in Ecuador and continues to work on his graduate thesis in order to obtain a degree in theology. In her first term with OMS, Kimberly worked with English Evangelism in Cuenca, Ecuador. After their marriage, they began teaching sexual abstinence to youth, parents and church leaders. Together, they also worked in SEMBEC with a focus on discipleship through supervised ministry. They have pulled these ministries together for a new challenge, Camp Pallatanga. After almost two years of work at the camp with remodeling and hosting campers, they will return to the camp to continue the work that God has called them to do.

After 17 years of being a part of the Church, God has permitted Guido to see the internal needs. “I would like to see the Church in my country make use of all of the tools that are within its reach in order to mature spiritually and to multiply in number. It is my desire to offer the Church the tool of camping ministries.” Guido, Kimberly and the two little ones, Isabel (3) and Elena (newborn), hope to raise the necessary support to return to Ecuador and continue this camp ministry. During the last months of 2006 and the next year of 2007, they will be visiting churches and sharing their vision and passion for the growth of the Church in Ecuador through the Camp Pallatanga ministry.

As God has so abundantly blessed us, we would like to be a blessing to the Church of Ecuador. Ezekiel 34:26 says, “I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.”
