Bill Evans
Director of MFMI Ministry Teams
Bill Evans is Director of Ministry Teams for Men For Missions International (MFMI) in Greenwood, Indiana. He is responsible for the logistical details of short-term mission experiences, including preparing people both emotionally and spiritually. Much of Bill’s focus is to coordinate the efforts between the volunteers, the team leader, and the missionaries on the field.
Bill has been involved in many areas of ministry within the church. He has served as Missions Work Area chair, served on the Family Ministry team, as well as the Evangelism/Outreach, Finance and Administrative Board. Opportunities at church have also given Bill the opportunity to gain the privilege of being a Certified Lay Speaker for the United Methodist Church.
After graduation from high school, Bill was admitted into a four-year electrical apprenticeship program. He graduated from that program in 1985 and began to run electrical work for seven years after that. He joined Eli Lilly in January 1993 as an electrician, and four years later he got involved with predictive maintenance as an Infrared Technician. His next job at Lilly was as a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. Each of these jobs has prepared Bill for what he is currently doing with MFMI.
Bill is married to Jackie and their sons are Kyle, Matt, and Nick.
