Current Ministries in Hungary

In 1992 OMS inaugurated a pilot program of English outreach among the public schools and cooperated at that time with the Hungarian Evangelical Fellowship, formerly a part of the Hungarian Methodist Church.

In 1995 OMS inaugurated the contemporary four-fold ministry of OMS through the pattern of summer English youth camps, evangelism and church planting, in partnership for several years with the Korea Evangelical Holiness Church.

In addition to these ministries, OMS currently partners with the Wesleyan Alliance in Hungary in operating a two-year theological training program.

Currently OMS is involved in the following ministries:

We praise God for what he's done through our ECC team in 2007:

Starting in January, ECC team member Cseh Róbert (family name is first according to the Hungarian custom), began a groundbreaking work in the city of Székesfehérvár. Some contacts he had developed there asked him to begin a weekly Bible study, so he did. That led to some new contacts, who asked for a second Bible study. By April, Róbert (Robi) was leading three separate home Bible studies in the Székesfehérvár area. The members of the three groups then began asking if they could have some kind of joint worship service. In mid-May, Róbert began leading a worship service every other week.

At this point, there are about 20-25 people meeting for Bible study each week. The groups continue to attract new visitors on a weekly basis. Presently, Róbert and his wife Sárolta live in Budapest. So Róbert commutes to Székesfehérvár 3-4 times a week. They are now looking into the possibility of relocating in Székesfehérvár this fall, if they can find an affordable option for doing this.
We praise God for what he's done through our ECC teams in 2007:
