We would not believe it if we had not seen it with our own eyes.The harvest God is bringing in through the ministry of OMS’ Every Community for Christ ministry is astounding. Just look:

• 161,620 men, women and children invited                       Jesus to forgive their sins and save them.
• 28,551 followed Christ in baptism
• 25,997 people were enrolled in intentional discipleship training programs
• 206,677 attended new churches and fellowships in 43 countries on five continents.
• 3,485 new worshiping groups were started.                     This is a record high number.
• 6,925 volunteer leaders were in training as they started new worshiping groups.
• 1,385 congregations met the membership requirements to be accepted as a fully functioning church by their national church association. This is a record-setting number.

It’s hard to get our head around these numbers. But let’s look at it this way: Think of how many families just like yours were impacted by this ministry in 2007. Imagine what it means for tens of thousands of families to begin worshipping together because their lives have been transformed. Imagine those families going home from church with smiles on their faces and peace in their hearts because now that Jesus lives in his heart, dad doesn’t get drunk any more and beat them up. Imagine their conversations around the table as they face problems in the shop, in the fields, at the school, with the neighbors and with their own health issues. Imagine the peace and power those families have found knowing that they abide in Christ and He abides in them.

• The prisons of Colombia

It’s not uncommon for us who serve the Lord to ask ourselves about the decisions we have made in the use of our time, treasures and talents. “Is it worth it?” On behalf of the tens of thousands of persons represented in the ECC statistics above, I want all our supporters to know that your efforts are paying dividends, here and now and for eternity. It’s worth it.
